Nectar Closes Indefinitely
Published on July 05, 2014
Nectar, the cafe with the glorious back patio at 663 Haight Street, has inexplicably shuttered.
Several readers tipped us to a sign posted this week on the cafe's door reading only, "Nectar has closed indefinitely."
Nectar opened in June of 2012, taking over the space formerly occupied by Katz Bagels. We're not sure what caused the closure, but we're seeking more information.
We do know that the location won't go completely dark. The co-founder of meal delivery service Sprig confirmed to us yesterday that his company will be using Nectar's kitchen, at least in the short term.
We'll update this story if we find out more about Nectar's fate.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.
