In Numbers: Divisadero And The Instagram Check-inPhoto: Flickr / Mr-Script
It's not an uncommon sight. You're eating dinner out, and the food has just arrived. Conversation stalls as everyone at the table pulls out their smartphones and takes a photo of their meal. "Let me just check in", they say.

But which places in our neighborhood are the hottest for Instagram checkins? Thanks to the service HereFeed, we were able to track down which Divisadero businesses have the most check-ins from Instagram users. Here's the top five.

1. Nopa
Our neighborhood's popular restaurant specializing in "urban rustic food" tops the charts, logging 23,213 check-ins to date.

Ranking #2 on the list of most Instagram check-ins is music venue The Independent, with 18,208 to date.

Logging 10,920 check-ins, The Mill steals 3rd place from Madrone by only a few hundred tagged photos. As for the subject of most of the photos? You guessed it. Toast.

With 10,426 check-ins Madrone is #3 on the list of hottest Instagrammed locations on Divisadero.

Coming in at 5th place is Bean Bag Cafe, with 9,218 check-ins.

Keep in mind that these are total numbers taken over time, so it's possible that newer venues like The Mill or 4505 BBQ will eventually take the lead. Are you surprised by any locations on this list? Where do you see Instagramming happening the most in the neighborhood?
