The 2014 Cole Valley Fair is next Sunday, and for once, it doesn't coincide with Folsom. Here's what to expect.

First off, remember that Cole Street will be blocked to traffic and open to pedestrians from Carl Street to Grattan Street from 10am-5pm, so don't plan on parking over there.

The food is looking good: In addition to the great eats already in Cole Valley, Bombzies BBQ, Firetrail Pizza, and Peter's Kettle Corn will be around, not to mention a bake sale from Grattan.

Since Cole Valley Street Fair tends to be more kid-friendly than ours, there will be lots of activities for the little ones. You can expect balloon artists, face painting, a bouncy castle, and a talking police car (which, admittedly, might be for adults). For grown-ups, an obstacle course courtesy of Midline, a classic car show, and plenty of live music.

There are a ton of vendors, including everything from local businesses, organizations, artists and photographers, to UCSF and the SFPD. You can see the full list here

There will be two music stages, one at Grattan and one at Parnassus. You can check out the schedules for both stages at this link

In addition to the fair, you can check out Cole Valley SF's third neighbor meet-and-greet happy hour at Zazie from 2:30-4:30pm. Meet Ellen Holderman, check out the recently renovated back patio at Zazie, and meet your neighbors. What a great way to spend a Sunday.

In the meantime, follow Cole Valley Fair's twitter feed for updates.
