Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In Golden Gate And Broderick ShootingFlickr / alancleaver
As previously reported, on the afternoon of Sunday, August 31st, a man crossing the street near Golden Gate Avenue and Broderick was shot by a driver who then fled the scene, leaving the victim in critical condition. 

Today, San Francisco police have released a sketch of the suspect, as well as a description of the vehicle driven away from the scene of the shooting. 

Here's the SFPD account of the incident, which police are treating as an attempted homicide:

On August 31, 2014 at approximately 2:15 PM in the area of Golden Gate and Broderick a suspect vehicle nearly struck a victim as he was in the crosswalk. A verbal altercation ensued between the two parties. The suspect pulled into a driveway down the street, backed up slightly, then shot the victim with a handgun from 30 to 50 feet away. The suspect drove closer to the victim and shot the victim again before fleeing in the suspect vehicle. The victim is recovering and expected to survive.The vehicle is described as a newer Honda Civic or Accord, two door, polished metallic gray in color.

Police say they are seeking an an Asian male, 20-29 years old, with dark or tanned skin and no accent when speaking English. According to witnesses, the suspect was last seen wearing a backwards baseball cap, possibly red, with a flat brim. 

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
