It's another hot one 'round the neighborhood today, and we've got three fresh updates on your local eating and drinking establishments to keep you cool.

Happier hours at 20th Century Cafe

First off, a little bird alerted us to the fact that 20th Century Cafe, Michelle Polzine's Gough Street spot, has now extended its opening hours from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Dubbed "happier hours," the new evening time slot will boast special bottle prices and savory snacks designed to satisfy the after-work crowd, with a rotating selection of dishes like reuben tacos with hungarian hot sauce, pickled vegetables, chilled beet borscht and green peppercorn deviled eggs on offer.

Momi Toby's open mic in jeopardy

Over at Momi Toby's Revolution Cafe, music events coordinator Allison Wonderband has announced that she'll be decamping at the end of this month, and taking her piano with her. "I apologize to anyone looking forward to booking another gig there or attending more open mics," she stated on Facebook. "I can no longer afford to donate my time or equipment." But open mic night may still have a future at the cafe. Owner Anthony Shou told us that Allison's decision to split does not reflect on problems at the cafe itself, and he's looking around for a possible replacement.  "I'm open to the possibility of getting someone else to run the open mic nights," he told us. Any takers?

More DragonEats in the FiDi

If you're a fan of the fresh Vietnamese fare at the Gough Street DragonEats, you'll be happy to know that they've opened a brand-new second location in the Financial District. Located at 555 Folsom St. (between First and Second streets), the new space boasts bahn mi, salads, fresh rolls and fresh bowls. It's now open from 11am to 6pm daily.

That's all for today! Now hit the park, the pool, or wherever your weekend takes you.
