Cuco's Space To Become Coffee Shop?Photo: Andrew Dudley / Hoodline
488 Haight Street has been empty for less than a week, but we have a tiny nugget of information about who the next tenant might be.

A filing was posted a few days ago by a business called Emanuel Coffee, which is seeking to open at 488 Haight. That address, of course, was most recently home to Cuco's, the taqueria that closed last week after nearly 23 years in the Lower Haight.

The filing for Emanuel Coffee is attributed to one Irene Parada Quinteros and was filed on October 16th — the day the space officially became available. We have yet to dig up any additional information about Emanuel Coffee or Ms. Quinteros, but rest assured we're working to find out more.

There are already a few other coffee options within a block or two of Haight and Fillmore — Cafe International, Cafe du Soleil, and Bean There come to mind. Is there room for another java slinger in the Lower Haight? If so, what would you like to see on the menu at Emanuel? Take to the comments, friends.
