Announced in September, the move into the former CityOptix space had been in the works for a while, said owner Audra Kunkle, and gives Loved To Death a much-needed chance to expand its offerings of taxidermy memento mori, odd antiquities and Victoriana, as well as to stretch out a little.

Here's a peek at what the new shop looked like under construction:

LTD unwrapped the windows for a soft launch late Saturday afternoon and opened the space officially on Sunday. 

Now that the store is up and running, LTD is looking to hire some full-timers with retail experience, so if you're on the market, drop a line to info [{at}] lovedtodeath [{dot}] com.

Rather than simply duplicating the offerings of the 1681 store, LTD has a higher-end focus and feel, with more fine art and furniture planned, plus a lot more light and space.

Hours will likely mirror those of Loved to Death next door, so plan on stopping by Monday-Sunday, noon to 7:30pm to get your fix of the shop's stylishly macabre offerings.
