With the holiday season fast approaching, there will soon be lots of worthy causes vying for your attention—and for your charitable dollars.

Here at Hoodline, we're always looking to spotlight local residents and organizations making a difference in our neighborhoods. And that's going to be even more true over the next couple of months. 

But first, we need some recommendations.

Do you know of a non-profit, community organization, small business or good Samaritan that deserves some extra attention? Maybe they're looking for new members, need to raise some money, or just want to get the word out about the great work they do? If so, we want to hear about them.

Just send an email to tips [at] hoodline {{dot}} com by Sunday, October 19th with the basic details about your nominee(s) and why you love them so. The only requirement is that the organization, its services, or at least some of its members must be based in our coverage area of the city (94117, 94102, 94114 or thereabouts).

Depending on how many responses we get, we'll either put the nominees up for a public vote, or we'll let our editors decide which businesses to profile. Then, you can come back in November to read all about 'em.
