Last month, we prognosticated that Warby Parker was most likely headed to Hayes Valley in the near future. Now, we have confirmation  straight from the source.

According to a Warby Parker rep, the eyeglass outfitter is indeed on the way to 357 Hayes St., and soon. With an opening date of November 25th, the New York-based company is moving at lightning speed to bring its online selection of specs to the neighborhood.

Similar to other recent brick-and-mortar expansions in Los Angeles and Atlanta, the new store will have a bookish feel, with "library-inspired bookcases, chevron wood floors, periodicals sourced from independent presses, and banquette seating (for reading and relaxing)." A "Reference Desk" will service pickups and adjustments, and you'll be able to peruse reading material like The Paris Review, Lapham’s Quarterly, n+1 and McSweeney’s publications while you shop. In short, they're really going for that sexy librarian look.

Local design and illustration studio Lab Partners will be outfitting the interior and exterior of the space with murals that reference San Francisco sights, including Caffe Trieste, the Mechanics’ Institute Library, City Hall, and the Tamale Lady.

Once open, look out for a "limited-edition pair of sunglasses and lens cloth" made just for the Hayes Street location, plus the company's usual selection of affordable and varied frames.

Starting next Tuesday, the store will be open daily from 11am to 7pm, so stop by if you're in need of new eyeglasses or just want to do some light reading.
