Though we can't track every crime that happens in the neighborhood, last night saw some particularly nasty incidents to report.

This morning at 1am, police responded to a call at Rose and Buchanan streets after an 18-year-old female victim was stabbed in a robbery. According to police, four suspects between the ages of 18 and 20 approached the victim and hit her several times. One suspect then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest, and the group took her cell phone and fled on foot. The victim suffered facial bruising, a swollen eye, and a non life-threatening stab wound to the chest.

Just a few minutes later, at 1:20am, two 16-year-old suspects approached a 26-year-old victim at Gough and Hickory and demanded money. The suspects grappled with the victim, possibly breaking his nose, and took his wallet, phone and backpack.

Earlier in the night, and a little further north than our typical neighborhood boundaries, a shooting took place at Willow and Buchanan streets (near Eddy) which police believe left one man dead and another in critical condition.

According to police, a shooting was reported at about 8:45pm, and officers responding to the scene found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was transported to SF General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, at which point a walk-in shooting victim arrived at the hospital.

The second victim, who police believe to have also been involved in the Willow and Buchanan shooting, died shortly thereafter. Police are now treating the case as a homicide investigation.

We've reached out to SFPD to see whether any arrests have been made in any of these cases, and will update accordingly.
