If you're trying to get a cup of Ritual coffee at Mojo Bicycle Cafe this morning, we're afraid you're out of luck. Mojo is closed today, but it's for a good reason: our local bike shop/cafe is expanding its roster of beers on tap from two brews to ten.
Taps are being installed and lines run through the ceiling today, and by tomorrow we'll be able to sample a much wider selection of craft beers than previously carried by Mojo.
The first round of beers available on tap will be as follows:

- Death & Taxes
- Moonlight Brewing Reality Czeck
- Big Daddy IPA
- Lagunitas IPA
- Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA
- Deschutes River Ale
- Manny's Pale Ale
- Pine Street Atom Splitter
- Peak Organic Fresh Cut
Owner Remy Nelson says this initial beer list is a trial run. Future beer selections will be made based on what's popular and selling well, as well as what's requested by customers.
The changes have been a long time coming. "I feel that it is time to go back to the original idea that started with bikes and beer," said Remy. When he first opened, an overgrown back patio reflected his vision of a fusion bike shop/beer garden. After the back patio closed down, Mojo evolved into an early morning breakfast joint. "I don't like getting up this early," Remy confessed.
With that in mind, hours will also be changing, with the cafe opening at 9am Monday through Wednesdays. On those days, lunch will be served starting at 11:30am, but before then Mojo will only serve coffee and an upgraded pastry selection from Black Chip (the same source that provides baked goods to Ritual Coffee).
Thursdays through Sundays, Mojo will open at 8am and serve its full breakfast menu until 11:45am, at which time it'll switch over to lunch.
The bike shop will continue to open daily at 11am.
Earlier this year, Mojo made an upgrade to its seating arrangement, removing the church pew-style seating for black walnut tables. More recently, it did away with its public wifi, shifting the clientele slightly from laptop workers to a more social environment.
Mojo's two longstanding pop-ups—Wesburger on Wednesdays and Rice Paper Scissors on Thursdays—will still be making their regular appearances. Now, you'll just have a wider selection of beer to pair with your food.
