Police announced this afternoon that an arrest has been made in last Thursday's fatal stabbing on the 200 block of Haight Street.

As we reported last week, the victim, who has since been identified as 20-year-old Malcolm Armstrong, was stabbed multiple times around 4am by an unknown assailant. He was transported to SF General Hospital, where he died from his injuries the next day.

In a press release, SFPD announced today that they now have a suspect in custody. 24-year-old San Francisco resident Johnathan Dean, pictured below, was arrested on November 14th and booked for homicide and an unrelated warrant.

No information about the circumstances of Dean's arrest, a motive for the homicide, or other details about the victim have been released. We'll update this story if there are any additional details.
