If you've been keeping your eye on 597 Hayes St., you'll know that the former In Bed location and one-time Hayes Valley sexiest vacant storefront contender has been nearing the end of its soft-story retrofit.
Now, it seems that the corner of Hayes and Laguna is getting ready to reveal its makeover as an outpost of Cotélac, a French brand that celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. While Cotélac already has one San Francisco location at 1930 Fillmore St., store manager Nicole Nakamoto told us that the new spot will carry the brand's younger, more casual sister line Acoté, as well as its newer men's line.
The new store is targeting a mid-January opening, with a grand opening celebration to follow sometime thereafter.
