Hanukkah has begun, Christmas is fast approaching, and the neighborhood is abuzz with holiday happenings. Here's what to look out for in the days ahead.
First off, if you're looking to celebrate the magic of Hanukkah, look no further than Blackbird, which now is featuring a Schmaltz Brewing "Hanukkah Chanukah" beer alongside its newly winterized beer list and Games of Thrones-themed cocktail list.

If you're on the lookout for a place to dine out on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, there are a few options available to you. So far we know that Canela will be open on the 24th with a $55 menu featuring crab bisque with Moorish croutons, roasted duck, Christmas lamb and more.  Beso will be open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as will Bisou Bistro, which features an $80 Christmas menu.

As for Christmas-themed events, tomorrow night the Castro Theater will feature "Rolodex of Hate", a "glittering evening of very naughty, barely nice humor" with Bianca Del Rio and Sasha Soprano and emceed by Peaches Christ. Though the earlier show is sold out, there's still room for the 10:15pm show.

For slightly more wholesome holiday options at the Castro Theater, look out for "The Muppet Christmas Carol" to screen on Sunday, Dec. 21st at 2:30pm, and "It's a Beautiful Life," which will screen on Monday, Dec. 22nd at 2:30pm, 5:15pm and 8pm.

On the night of Monday the 22nd, the 2014 Broadway touring production “ELF the Musical” will head to The Edge along with members of San Francisco’s own Gay Mens Chorus. They'll be giving some live performances starting after 9pm, and with every cocktail purchased you'll be entered into a raffle to win tickets to see the SF Gay Mens Chorus’ 25th annual “Home for the Holidays” Christmas Eve concert at the Castro Theatre, as well as two tickets to “ELF the Musical” at the SHNSF Curran Theatre.

What other holiday events and goings-on are on the docket in the neighborhood? Let us know if we missed anything.
