The Coming Week In Divisadero Holiday EventsPhoto: Torbhakhopper HE DEAD
The holidays are upon us: Rare Device is full of people, Faletti has rows of poinsettias for sale, and our streets are wet from rain. Here are a few events coming up to celebrate the holiday spirit:
First off, Bi-Rite Market is in the middle of its annual toy drive. They're looking for new and unwrapped toys for kids ages 12 and under, books for kids 16 and under, and any sports and arts equipment. All donations can be dropped off from 9am to 9pm in the barrel at the market's Divisadero and Mission locations.

Donations made at Bi-Rite Market Divisadero will go to the Western Addition Beacon Center (WABC), which "supports local youth every day through arts and cultural programming, academic support, college prep and sports activities."

As an added incentive, Bi-Rite will be offering free gingerbread cookies and hot apple cider in exchange for a toy on Thursday, December 18th, between 4-6pmToy donations end Friday December 19th, so make sure you drop things off before then.

Umami Mart and The Perish Trust are teaming up for the holidays again this year, offering their 3rd annual Latkes and Lager event. The Hanukkah party will be held on Wednesday December 17th from 6-8pm at Umami Mart (inside The Perish Trust).

Finally, the postponed Divisadero Art Walk will be happening this coming Thursday, December 18th. Peruse the list of awesome events happening, and enjoy the absence of stormapocalypse. We'll see you there.
