If your day has been a little too bright and sunny, we've got a a roundup of a few break-ins and muggings that have occurred in and around the neighborhood in the last couple of weeks.

On Saturday January 10th, a man was mugged near the intersection of Grove and Steiner shortly before midnight. The victim was approached by a man who pulled out a handgun, then punched the victim in the face. The suspect took his wallet, money, and phone, and fled on foot.

Last Thursday, January 15th, a resident of the 100 block of Steiner between Hermann and Waller was the victim of a home invasion. The resident reports waking up upon hearing a noise between 3:30am and 4:30am that morning. She fell back asleep, but when she awoke the next morning, found that her keys and vehicle were missing. Apparently the suspect had entered through her front door.

Around the same time that morning, a home on Broderick between Haight and Waller was also broken into. A thief (or thieves) apparently hopped a fence into the backyard, then forced open a window and entered a home. They made off with three bikes, along with personal papers, and other items.

Later that night, around 9:45pm, a man was mugged on the 700 block of 14th Street in Duboce Triangle, between Church and Sanchez. Two men approached him from behind, and one pulled out a gun. They took the victim's wallet, cell phone, keys, and gym bag, then fled on foot.

Finally, this morning at 2am, a man was walking near the intersection of Haight and Fillmore when two men approached him. They took his bag, which contained a laptop, and fled in a black S.U.V.

To our knowledge, none of the stolen property has been recovered in any of these incidents, and no arrests have been made.
