Mystery Mister Transforms Into Love Street VintagePhoto: Amy Stephenson/Hoodline
Last week, high-end vintage shop Mystery Mister papered over its windows and hung a sign explaining that it would be closing its flagship store at 1506 Haight St. In operation since 2010, the business will move on with a focus on online sales and flea markets.

The announcement included a brief message from owner Rochelle Baker:

"We are strong believers in the need to evolve and hope you will come with us on our journey. I personally wish to thank all who have walked through the doors, shared their stories and made me laugh. You are all much appreciated."

A few days later, a new sign appeared, explaining that the shop will be reopening after a remodel under the new name Love Street Vintage

Mystery Mister was co-owned by Rochelle Baker and Graciela Ronconi. At the end of their five-year lease on the Haight Street spot, the two decided to split up their partnership and go separate ways. Mystery Mister will stay under Baker's direction at mysterymisterantiques.com (the site is down for a revamp). It will focus on antiques, interior decor, vintage jewelry and accessories, in much the same way as the former retail space.

At 1506 Haight, Ronconi will take over under the new moniker Love Street Vintage, which will focus more on clothing. The two shops, Baker tells us, are no longer affiliated.

You can find Love Street on Facebook and Etsy. Mystery Mister is also on facebook, and Baker says she's in the process of creating an Etsy shop, so look out for more from both enterprises, especially if you're a local vintage-hunter.
