The Haight has a storied history of people breaking windows overnight, and after last week, we have two more incidents to add to the annals. Bizarrely, both incidents occurred at toy store Kid Robot, which is having a rough week.

Last Thursday morning, we received a tip that the windows at Kid Robot had been smashed overnight. One of the windows was more or less completely demolished, and the sidewalk was covered in the aftermath. Here are photos, courtesy of James Sword, president of HANC:

The window was quickly repaired. Then, this morning, we saw that the glass in Kid Robot's door had been smashed and smeared all over in a silvery paint, which extended to the overhang above the door.

Cardboard has been put up behind the damaged door, although this time, it didn't shatter. We contacted Kid Robot for comment, but have yet to hear back.

According to SFPD, the incident happened somewhere between 8:30pm and 10:30am, and no arrests have been made.

Did you see or hear anything? Tell us in the comments.
