Castro Weekend Events: Soiree, At The Hop, Spring Is Gay! And MoreSoiree 2015/Facebook

We've got another gorgeous weekend of weather in store for us this weekend. Let's take a look at a few of the events going on in and around the Castro in the days ahead:

Friday, March 27th

Sing-Along Beauty and the Beast: Be our guest tonight at the Castro Theatre where you can sing along to all your favorite songs from Beauty and the Beast. Dressing up in costume in highly encouraged and makes the night a lot more fun. Goody bags will be handed out to all in attendance. Hosted by Sara Moore & friends, this event runs Friday through Tuesday.

Nerd Alert: After your work week is done, head on over to Beaux for happy hour, where a weekly LGBT professionals social mixer kicks off tonight and every Friday. "Meet, mingle, network or just drink" from 4-8pm with 2-for-1 drinks to kick off the weekend.

Saturday, March 28th

Jumpin' Java: As we reported yesterday, Jumpin' Java is closing Saturday. Stop by from 3pm-6pm for one last cup of joe and to say goodbye to the neighborhood coffee shop.

Soiree2015: The SF LGBT Center's largest fundraising event of the year takes place this Saturday at City View inside The Metreon, with a VIP dinner from 6pm-8pm followed by a party from 8pm-midnight. This year's theme is "Limitless", and the event promises to be "a celebration of our community’s future" that "will invoke a vision of the future and the world we are all hoping to create."

Spring is Gay! Benefiting Gay4Good: Dressing up and going to a cocktail party not your thing, but you still want to do something good for the community? Head on over to Lookout Saturday night for "Spring is Gay!" Hosted by Sister Roma, the event benefits the San Francisco Chapter of Gay4Good, a "group of approximately 1,200 volunteers who donate time and energy, once a month, to a variety of social welfare and environmental service projects."

Sunday, March 29th

Qbar: AIDS/Lifecycle, the seven day, 545 mile bike ride from  SF to LA that raises money and awareness  in the fight against HIV/AIDS, is only two months away. Team Funky Monkey would like you to stop by Qbar for their beer bust and fundraiser, which promises "plenty of sexy guys in spandex" selling jello shots and cheap beer from 3pm-7pm.

Midnight Sun: "At the Hop," hosted by Crafty Dough & Sugah Betes, plays all your favorite records from the '40s, '50s and '60s with oldies-inspired drag numbers and dancing. Stay 'til midnight for the slow dance so you can get close with your main squeeze to close out the night.
