Robbery At Haight And Fillmore CVS Prescription CounterRose Garrett/Hoodline

The Lower Haight's own CVS pharmacy was robbed at simulated gunpoint on Monday morning, according to police and The Examiner

The incident occurred at around 9:15am, when a man walked into the CVS and proceed to the back left corner, where the pharmacy counter is located. According to police, the suspect "simulated a handgun in his jacket" and handed a pharmacist a note demanding that she give him "all of their prescription medication."

The pharmacy employee complied with the man's demands and opened the safe. "The suspect took the drugs from the safe then fled," according to police.

We followed up with CVS's store manager, but he somewhat apologetically let us know that according to store policy, no employees at the CVS location could speak on record about what had happened.
