Buyer's Best Friend's flagship retail location at 1740 Haight opened back in the summer of 2012. Now, almost exactly three years later, it'll be closing at the end of the month.

We spoke with Adam Sah, CEO and Founder of Buyer's Best Friend, to learn more about the closing. He cited rising rent, vacant businesses, and minimum wage as influences in the decision to close down the location.

"The lease was up and while we had an option to extend, we felt it was better to quit while we were ahead. Secondary factors include slower foot traffic at our end of the street, The Fizzary closing, our next door neighbor remaining empty for months (and a low traffic optometrist coming in) and costs rising faster than our margins including $15/hr minimum wage."

Sah also cited BBF's office snack delivery service as a reason. Apparently, the service exploded last year, and is now earning the company "the equivalent of Haight Street every couple of weeks." In the struggle to meet the increasing demand for their snack delivery, the Haight location wasn't getting the management attention it really needed.

The shop is currently having a 20-50 percent off sale, so now's the time to spend your bitcoins. The store's official final day is April 30th.

Sah also lives in the neighborhood, and he's looking forward to seeing what comes next for the space. As of this writing, the landlord hasn't found a new tenant.
