Rush hour traffic on Broadway was at a near standstill just before 6pm Thursday due to a car that hit an office building at the southeast corner of Broadway and Battery streets.
A firefighter at the scene said no one was injured in the crash.
Update, 4/3: As commenter Schtu notes, the license plate of the car in question seems to indicate that the car belongs to a Retired California State Senator from District 8. That would corroborate the news that retired judge and former State Senator Quentin Kopp may have been behind the wheel.

The car, a silver late model Honda Accord, was on the sidewalk with the right side of the front end jutting through a plate glass window of the building at 750 Battery St. It appeared to have narrowly missed a light pole.
Traffic was snarled on several side streets as well, including Jackson and Davis, as drivers tried to avoid the scene.
No further information was available, as representatives of SFFD and SFPD said they were still trying to gather information.
