Every week there's bits and pieces of news that, while important in their own right, don't quite justify an entire story. Here are the "leftovers" of the week—fundraisers, business news and a few other useful tidbits.

  • 4505 Meats' monthly fundraiser Feed The Pig continues to be a success, with $480 raised for this month's charity—the Conductive Education Center of San Francisco—in the first half of April. Make sure you schedule "eating barbecue" on your calendars for Monday April 27th, when 5% of 4505's total net sales will be donated to the organization.
  • Burger lovers in the neighborhood should be pleased to know that two Divisadero patties made Eater's list of the 11 Best Burgers in San Francisco (selected by chefs, not food editors). If you immediately guessed NOPA and 4505 Burgers & BBQ then ding ding ding, you're a winner. Any other Divis burgers you think should have been represented?
  • The North of the Panhandle Neighborhood Association (NOPNA) is gearing up for its yearly NoPa Neighborhood Sidewalk Sale. All residents living between Divisadero and Masonic, and Fell and Turk Streets who host a sidewalk sale on April 26th will be included in NOPNA's event advertising. Those who want to participate can sign up here
  • Last but not least, if you missed Josey Baker's post earlier this month, it seems that raw bread is the latest foodie trend. The Mill's top baker writes that he believes "consuming raw toast is the superior approach." But don't ask for your toast raw next time you swing by The Mill – Baker's post is dated April 1st, so this is just an almost-believable April Fools' joke.

Wear your sunscreen, Hoodline readers! We'll see you out in the park this weekend.
