At approximately 7:25pm yesterday evening, an argument between two men on Haight Street between Stanyan and Shrader escalated into violence, leaving one of the men in life-threatening condition.

SFPD reports that the victim and suspect "were in a fight over the victim’s marijuana." According to police, the suspect punched the victim in the face, knocking him out. Upon losing consciousness, the victim fell and hit his head on the sidewalk, resulting in head trauma.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction and no arrest has been made. 

According to SFPD's Officer Albie Esparza, the victim was transported to SF General Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). No further details on his condition are available.
