VeganBurg Hiring, Opening This Summer

We told you back in January that an impossibly hip Singapore-based vegan food chain called VeganBurg was set to move into the space at 1466 Haight St., vacated by All You Knead so long ago. It's been a few months, so we thought we'd check in on the progress.

Construction is beginning, as founder/Director Alex Tan tells Hoodline VeganBurg "just got our building permit approved and we're expecting to commence work pretty soon." They expect to be open by August.

Since the debut is soon approaching, VeganBurg is looking for some staff. Specifically, they're looking for a restaurant manager for the Haight Street location. Here's the job description:

"At VeganBurg, an opportunity like no other, you will build and manages [sic] the new generation fast food restaurant. Totally redefining food pop culture and comfort food with our 100% plant-based fast food restaurant, you can help mother earth sustain our planet for the next generation. You will build, coach, manage and develop teams from staffing, interviewing, hiring and training standpoint."

Here's the full ad.

Tan also says that the chain will be looking to hire a marketing/communications person, but the job description isn't live yet. They're looking to get it filled ASAP, so if you think you've got the chops, you can email your resume to hello [at] veganburg [dot] com.
