DSF Adds Games To Create New Mini ArcadePhoto: Devon Chulick

With a skee-ball machine, a couple of arcade games, and the occasional ping-pong night, DSF has already revealed that beneath its apparel store exterior, there's an amusement park itching to get out.

Yesterday, the shop at 520 Haight St. took things to the next level, adding five more games to create a veritable mini-arcade in the rear area of the store.

Owner Devon Chulick tells Hoodline that the shop is now home to four pinball games and three arcade games, including Xybots, Neo Geo, and Wrestlemania. Chulick says the lineup, which is curated by SF Pinball, will change every couple of months. Plays cost 50 cents per game.

With the new Brewcade on Market Street and a possible upcoming bar/arcade on Divisadero, plus the recent repeal of antiquated city restrictions, arcade games are seeing something of a renaissance in the area. For a guide to local venues that feature pinball machines specifically, including Molotov's, Lucky 13, and the Pilsner Inn, see our recent roundup.
