If you live in Hayes Valley and heard plenty of sirens this weekend, that's because a number of events that required police presence took place in the neighborhood. Here's a recap of some of the weekend crimes we learned about from the SFPD.

On Sunday morning at 12:50am, two men were getting on a party bus at Fell and Franklin streets when an argument took place with a group of unknown suspects. The two male victims got off the bus, and were then assaulted by the suspects, who fled the scene on foot. The victims were transported to SFGH with police reporting that a swollen eye, loss of consciousness, laceration to eye brow, chipped tooth, and swelling at the back of the head were among the injuries. Although Northern Station officers responded to the scene, they did not apprehend the suspects.

A car crash took place later on Sunday morning at around 3:50am, at Van Ness and Hayes. A vehicle traveling northbound on Van Ness collided with a motorcyclist traveling southbound on Van Ness. The motorcyclist was transported to SFGH with a  non life-threatening head injury.

On Sunday afternoon at around 5:10pm, an altercation occurred inside a store on the 300 block of Grove. The suspect stole something while inside the store, and was then approached by the male victim. The male suspect pushed the victim to the ground, stole another victim's cell phone from the counter, and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Finally, we received a tip from reader Runnz this morning, who stated the following:

"Hayes Valley was a war zone last nite. At multiple times beginning around 315am there were multiple gunshots. Cops were flying around the neighborhood. This is becoming a neighborhood under siege."

We've reached out to SFPD for comment on the above incident(s) and will update this story when we hear back with details.

Update, 1:30pm: From SFPD's Officer Albie Esparza:

"The SFPD responded to several shots fired calls on Oak/Octavia 3:24am, Market/Guerrero 3:25am and Gough and Fulton at 3:26 am. This is all, all the calls were all unable to locate anything."
