While the main events of SF Pride are happening this coming weekend, there's a wide sampling of parties, events, art shows and happenings spread out over this week and into the weekend. Read on for a quick rundown on some of the dozens of Pride-themed activities planned for the week ahead, and let us know what you're looking forward to most.

Dyke March

Parades and Outdoors

6/26: Trans March — Celebrate and support the transgender community in the annual march from Dolores to Civic Center. This year's theme is "Power Through Visibility"; events include the Youth and Elder Brunch (noon-3pm), march (6pm-8pm) and after party at El Rio (8pm – 2am).

6/26: Pride Sunset Cruise — In this inaugural event, enjoy an open-air evening cruise from Pier 40 and experience all that the Bay has to offer. Sail past the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, The Bay Bridge, and the San Francisco City Skyline while enjoying music from DJ Barry Harris of Thunderpuss. (Cruise runs 6pm-10pm, tickets are $45)

6/27: Pink Triangle Installation — We covered the interesting history of the yearly installation in a recent story. Be part of creating the striking visual symbol by volunteering from 7am-10:30am on Saturday.

6/27: San Francisco FrontRunners 36th Annual Pride Run — Get an early 5-10K run in before enjoying the rest of Pride's Saturday festivities. This year's beneficiary is The Pacific Center for Human Growth. Run begins at Metson Lake in Golden Gate Park at 9am.

6/27: Dyke Rally & March — Celebrate unity and raise consciousness and visibility in the dyke community at the annual event. The march, beginning at Dolores Park, will have an earlier start of 3:30pm this year to coincide with the earlier Pink Party.

6/28: Pride Parade — The main event of SF Pride. Line the sidewalks of Market Street and celebrate all the colors of the rainbow and community. Bring some sunscreen, a windbreaker, and an open mind so you're ready for anything. The Parade kicks off at 10:30am on Sunday at Market & Beale and ends at Market & 8th.

Fun and Games

6/24: Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence present Drag Me To Bingo — Bingo  with drag, cocktails, and prizes at Mezzanine (444 Jessie). Doors open at 6pm, booth reservations run $20-$55.

6/27: 17th Annual Pride Brunch for the Positive Resource Center — Enjoy a brunch honoring the 2015 Pride Parade Grand Marshals and help raise funds for Positive Resource Center. Event includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, a silent auction, and a chance to hear from the Grand Marshals (11am-2pm at the Hotel Whitcomb).

6/27-6/28: Pride Celebration at Civic Center — Enjoy music, food, performances, vendors and more all around Civic Center. Explore every nook and cranny, as many different organizations will have exciting spaces throughout the event. (Event runs noon-6pm Saturday, 11am-6pm Sunday)

6/27-6/28: Castro Country Club Soberfest — CCC puts on a yearly safe space for sober celebrations in a family-friendly atmosphere just off of Fulton at Civic Center. Enjoy yoga, bootcamp, dancing, and more from 11am to 6pm both days.

6/27: Pink Party — The annual event formerly known as Pink Saturday returns with a new organizer, different hours, and increased security. Enjoy an afternoon of music, performers, vendors, food, and the Castro. Don't forget to wear a shade of pink if you can. (Event runs 3pm-8pm)

Arts

6/23-6/24: Pants, The Musical — Queer Cultural Center presents a romp through lesbian life from age 3-83, exploring the love and loss of main character Ellie, who will be portrayed by seven different actors. (7:30pm at the African American Art & Culture Complex at 762 Fulton St. Tickets run $15-20)

6/25-6/26: La Garçonne Gala at SOMArts — "Inspired by the radical ideas of our historic past," enjoy a plethora of art ranging from fashion and music to painting and photography, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Bay Area Girls Rock Camp and SFCENTER. (Event begins at 6pm; tickets $35 and up)

6/25-7/3: Sex and the City Live at OASIS — Join Sue Casa, D'Arcy Drollinger, Lady Bear, and Hannukah Lewinsky as they perform two episodes from the famous show each night. (Doors at 6:30pm; tickets $25 and up)

6/26-6/27: San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus presents Elton! The Sing-Along — The Chorus wraps up their 37th season with a Sir Elton John sing-along, featuring pop, film, and Broadway hits from the singer. (Nourse Theater; tickets $20-$60)

6/20-7/19 — Reader Robert sent in the following information about an art show at Sweet Inspirations bakery (2339 Market St.). Running until July 19th, the show is called "Body Poses of Pride, Acceptance and Diversity" and will feature the work of Anthony Tablizo and Shang Ma.

Culture

6/24: Bi-BQ 2015 — Meet in Dolores park for some potluck, grilling and mingling, then head over with everyone to the Roxie Theater for the annual Bi Candy Film screening in Frameline39. (4pm-9pm)

6/26: Sha’ar Zahav’s Annual Pride Freedom Seder — Celebrate Pride with the community in a Pride Haggadah, co-sponsored by Keshet. The guest of honor this year will be Rabbi Camille Shira Angel. Attendees are encouraged to bring a vegetarian dish to feed eight people, and Sha’ar Zahav will supply drinks. (5:30pm at 290 Dolores St.; $5-$10 admission)

6/27-6/28: Sundance Saloon Country Western Dancing — We recently did a profile piece on Sundance Country-Western Dancing. See them in real life (and join them for a dance) at one of their three events over Pride weekend.

6/28: Juanita MORE! Pride Party — A party celebrating the history of SF nightlife with Steve FabusDavid HarnessJackie House, and Robert Jeffrey. The event benefits the GSA Network Youth Empowerment Summit. (Jones, noon-10pm, tickets available at the door).
