Whether you're into sports, music, nature, or stone fruit, there's a little something for everyone around the neighborhood this weekend. Bonus: It's (nearly) all free. Here are some of our suggestions:

Friday, June 26th

Indie Night at Green Apple Books — Head over to Green Apple Books on the Park tonight at 7pm. for Indie Press Reps Pick Night, where publicists, editors, and publishers from a range of indie presses will reveal which books they're excited about. Publishers include New York Review of Books, New Vessel, Open Letter Books, Other Press, and Soho Press.

Saturday, June 27th

A Beer-Inspiring Hike — The Sutro Stewards, a group of volunteer naturalists charged with restoring habitats and maintaining trails within the Sutro Forest, are partnering with the program Beers Made by Walking Saturday morning. BMBW raises money for environmental nonprofits by helping create educational programming and matching them with brewers who attend hikes and concoct brews inspired by an area's natural environment. The free 9am hike will be brew-free (the tapping event/fundraiser is in the fall.), but if you'd like to join local brewers like Social Kitchen and Brewery to learn about the forest's edible, medicinal, and historic plants, RSVP here (required). If you miss this weekend, the event recurs throughout the summer, so check the website for future dates.

Visit the website for the full schedule, or to revel in the cuteness of the "ExecuCorg Team."

Learn Drought Gardening — This Saturday's edition of Garden for the Environment's "Ask the Experts" series is "Gardening in a Drought." Drop by at 1pm and take a tour of GFE's water-wise demonstration garden. Ask questions, learn how to cut down on outdoor water use, and derive inspiration from their "climate-appropriate blooms." The class is free, and you can register here.

Women's ProAm Basketball — Drop by Kezar Pavilion Saturday afternoon between 1:30 and 5:30pm to catch Women's ProAm Basketball. Games are free for the public, thanks to SF Rec and Park, and the league is "represented with current and past college, high school and recreation players along with current and past national or international pros." See Bay City take on East Bay at 1:30, and at 3:30 San Francisco plays Mission Rec. Ct.

Sunday, June 28th

Apricots and Summer Squash at the Farmers' Market — Apricot and cherry season both wind down after June, so this may be your last chance this season to scoop some up at the Inner Sunset Farmers' Market Sunday from 9am to 1pm. With summer officially underway, it's summer squash season, so pick up a few of these bright veggies for a grilled summer squash salad or some shaved summer squash with apricots and pecans. The market's located on 9th Ave between Irving and Judah.

Alice’s Summerthing Concert — Kelly Clarkson headlines Radio Alice @ 97.3's free summer concert this Sunday in Golden Gate Park's Sharon Meadow. The music's on from noon until 4pm (Gates open at 11am) and will also feature Mat Kearney, Rachel Platten, and Elle King. It's an all-ages show, and you're free to bring a picnic, just no coolers, ice chests, or tall lawn chairs. Food and drink, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase as well. No tickets required; they'll even valet park your bike for free. For the schedule and other info, visit the radio station's website.

Vintage Base Ball — Vintage Base Ball returns to the Big Rec Fields in Golden Gate Park this Sunday. Catch an intracity battle at noon between the San Francisco Pacifics and the San Francisco Pelicans. Swing by at 3pm to watch the New Almaden Cinnabars play S.F. Barbary Coast. If you see an umpire wearing a top hat, you're in the right place. Period dress is not required, but certainly welcome.
