Jumpin' Java's Former Location Has Hit The MarketPhotos: McGuire Real Estate

After months of speculation over whether it would stick around, popular Duboce Triangle coffee shop Jumpin' Java shuttered back in March. The property that housed the cafe is now on the market, with a listing that went up over the weekend.

The 1900-era Victorian building has been listed by McGuire Real Estate for $1,495,000and includes both a 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath residential unit and Jumpin' Java's ground-floor commercial space. The 1,200-square-foot commercial space has had all its furniture and fixtures removed since Jumpin' Java's closure.

While the building's exterior has been freshly painted, it appears that both the residential and commercial units will need some TLC. Jumpin' Java's owner, Anna Chen, told Hoodline that she decided to close in part because the cafe's space needed a number of electrical and plumbing upgrades, which she didn't feel comfortable taking on without a long-term lease.

However, given the current state of the San Francisco real-estate market, it's likely that this property will go for well above its asking price. Listing agent Amina Yee tells Hoodline that she's already had plenty of interested buyers, and expects the property to sell quickly.

Here are a few photos of the interior of the residential unit, which will definitely need some upgrading:

Until a buyer commits to the property, the future of the commercial space remains up in the air—and may stay that way for some time, until necessary improvements can be completed. Stay tuned for an update once we hear of any plans for what will occupy the former coffee house location.
