Join Market Street Railway, SFMTA, Mayor Ed Lee, Senator Dianne Feinstein and other dignitaries at 10:45am Friday in the median of the Embarcadero just south of Mission Street to celebrate the opening of the historic streetcar E-line, which will run from Jones and Beach streets in Fisherman's Wharf to the Caltrain Depot. The line officially gears up on Saturday and will run weekends only from 10am–7pm, transitioning to seven-day service in early 2016.
