Beretta, Super Duper Founder Planning New Restaurant At 450 HayesA 2013 rendering of the building.

Yet another new restaurant is headed to Hayes Valley, as Adriano Paganini’s restaurant group has announced that it will be bringing a new concept to the ground-floor retail space at new development 450 Hayes St.

Paganini's San Francisco restaurant empire spans cuisines and locations, and includes Beretta, Delarosa, Lolinda (and rooftop bar El Techo de Lolinda), Starbelly, and Uno Dos Tacos. This year alone, he's already launched new Cow Hollow restaurant Belga and is planning to open a second Delarosa on Yerba Buena Lane. He's also the driving force behind Super Duper Burger, which boasts six locations in San Francisco and another four in the North and South Bays.

The specific concept and name for the 450 Hayes St. project remain under wraps. In the press release, Paganini expressed enthusiasm about Hayes Valley and promised a "casual, affordable" option:

"We are very excited to be moving into Hayes Valley and into the 450 Hayes Street development. Hayes Valley is a foodie neighborhood, with excellent restaurants like Rich Table and Dominique Crenn's new Petit Crenn leading the way by providing exceptional, quality dining experiences. We plan to pay that same level of attention to quality and detail, but at a more approachable price point. What we've heard from the neighborhood is that there needs to be a casual, affordable neighborhood restaurant that makes just as much sense to visit on a Monday or Tuesday as it does on a Friday or Saturday. Our restaurant will fill that space, and become a dining destination and neighborhood favorite in Hayes Valley."

450 Hayes is a mixed-use condo building from DDG and DM Development, the same developers behind 8 Octavia (which will soon include sake bar True Cup) and 400 Grove, set to include restaurant Little Gem. 450 Hayes will include 41 one- to three-bedroom condos (five will be below-market-rate) and two ground-floor retail spaces.

Paganini's new restaurant is set to debut there this winter, and a representative promised "more information in the coming weeks/months."
