The paint is already down to indicate where curb bulb-outs—a pedestrian safety measure—will be constructed at four intersections in North Beach starting in January 2016. These are being coordinated with a paving program by SF Public Works on Columbus Avenue from Washington to Filbert streets; other proposals are being considered for Columbus as well.
