A 75-year-old man driving a Red Nissan Sentra struck and critically injured a 70-year-old male pedestrian at about 1:38am today while making a left turn from Ninth Street onto Mission Street.

According to police, the pedestrian was in the middle of the second westbound lane on Mission Street when he was struck by the vehicle. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The SFPD has not released the identity of the victim, but we'll update if more information becomes available.
