FiDi institution Sam's Grill & Seafood Restaurant (374 Bush St.), which dates to 1867 and has been at its current location since 1946, is debuting an al fresco annex. The new patio, dubbed Sam's Seafood Alley, is set to debut on Belden Place next Wednesday, August 26th.
Established in 1867, the old-school Sam's got freshened up last year with new paint, flooring and curtains The chic new patio, with a teak burl bar and Restoration Hardware lounge furnishings, will offer an abbreviated menu of standards like clam chowder, shrimp cocktail and crab Louie, with a focus on local, seasonal and sustainable seafood.
Managing Partner Peter Quartaroli will also offer signature cocktails, like The Alleycat, with cucumber vodka, cucumber and Aperol on ice with a lemon squeeze. Sommelier Lance Tolaio will curate a wine list centered on white and rosé varietals from around the world, and beers will be available on tap and by the bottle. Sam's Seafood Alley will be open on weekdays from 11am–9pm, with food served from 11am-2:30pm and 4-9pm.
