New Vendors, Opening Timeframe, And More On 'The Myriad'Photos: Brian Ray/Hoodline

It's been a while since our last update on The Myriad marketplace at 2175 Market St.

While there have been delays with opening, as well as a paucity of information on any tenants other than the previously reported butcher store Gambrel & Co. and bar Mrs. Jones, we have gotten some updates on the projected opening timeline and at least some of the vendors lined up for the 4,000-square-foot space.

Myriad team member Shanan Carney provided us with a brief list of vendors, but couldn't give us much in the way of details. With some digging, though, here's what outfits appear to be headed to the neighborhood:

  • New Market Goods, a retail brand that sources "responsibly crafted" men's and women's clothing from Bangladesh. The focus appears to be on transparency in clothing production; items include jackets, ties, and "popover" tops.

  • Shield & Honor, a jewelry company started by Samantha Kennedy that specializes in bullet-inspired pendants, as well as earrings, collars, and rings. The company donates portions of its earnings to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

  • The CRO Cafe, a cafe currently based out of Oakland, looks to be headed to the space. Serving espresso, hot chocolate, and handmade drip coffee, the existing cafe uses and sells beans roasted by San Francisco-based Sightglass Coffee Roasters.

  • "Puppy Pâté." Though we only know the name, this could be Dashwood, based out of Napa. It serves dog treats with "carefully researched and coordinated" ingredients for animals with sensitive stomachs.

A flower shop and a company called "Raw" are also slated for the space, but no additional details were available. And, of course, there are 13 vendor spaces to fill, so more vendors are presumably still in the works.

Although the project has been moving slowly, and the interior still appears rather barren to the outside observer, Carney said the goal is to open at the end of September.

We'll keep an eye on the space to see if that timeframe proves spot-on or overly optimistic, and will update you with more vendors as we get additional information.
