Shortly after 1pm yesterday, a woman was struck and killed when an SUV turned the corner and struck her while she was crossing the street at Pine & Leavenworth. 

The victim, a woman in her fifties, was crossing Pine Street when the driver of the Audi SUV, a 45-year-old woman, made a left turn onto Pine and struck her with the car.

The victim sustained head injuries and was transported to SF General Hospital in life-threatening condition, where she succumbed to her injuries, according to police.
