The Inner Sunset and the southern edge of Golden Gate Park went through a nearly two-hour power outage last night—and a raccoon was to blame. According to KRON4, the power went out at 7:59pm, affecting 3,360 customers in the neighborhood. When it was restored at 9:49pm, PG&E revealed the culprit:
Power restored to customers in San Francisco's Sunset District. Outage caused by raccoon coming in contact with power lines.

The affected power line was located at Lawton & 17th. And this isn't the first time a raccoon has knocked out power: this year alone, the furry bandits were responsible for outages in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Nova Scotia.
