Castro Week: Lava Mae Expands To Castro, Crime Roundup, Weekend Events & MorePhoto: Steven Bracco/Hoodline

Another week has gone by, and in case you've busy, here's a little summary of what you may have missed in our neighborhood coverage.

Over the weekend, nudist activists held another protest in Jane Warner Plaza. What do you think? Have you had about all you can bear with the nudity talk?

It's been a couple of weeks since we last updated you on recent crime and police activity in the neighborhood. Since then, we've had a bomb scare, a suspicious death, and a significant car accident.

Remember the Duboce Park garage door that was vandalized last month with a racial slur? In response, homeowner Justin Kan painted over the garage with chalkboard paint, allowing neighbors to leave more positive messages.

Later this month, Lava Mae, the mobile shower and toilet organization, will be expanding its services to the Castro. They'll be joining forces with the Most Holy Redeemer Church's weekly dinner and outreach services on Wednesdays.

Ever walked by Espressamente Illy on a Sunday morning and noticed the men in the window knitting? They're a group called 'SF Men Knit,' and we caught up with them to find out what they're all about.

After reporting earlier this morning about the temporary closure of Bombay Indian Restaurant, it turns out that it was closed due to a rodent infestation (not cockroaches, as we previously suspected).
