This afternoon, we got a tip about longtime Fisherman's Wharf Irish pub and restaurant Fiddler's Green closing this Saturday, and before we could say, "Blimey!" we saw Inside Scoop had confirmed it.

We gave the bar a call, and owner Birute Cassidy said the building owner is selling the property. Cassidy will retire and doesn't know what might be in store for the building next. "I have fond memories," she said. "I've had it 24 years.... The community is really wonderful."

Fiddler's Green, known for its perfect pints of Guinness, live music, line dancing and Irish breakfasts, will be open regular hours—9:30am-2am—through Saturday.
