Pedestrian Struck By Van, Critically Injured At Third & BrannanPhoto: Google Maps

A woman was critically injured after being hit by a van in SoMa on Monday morning.

According to police, the 64-year-old victim was walking in a crosswalk at Third and Brannan streets at about 10am when she was struck. She was transported to SF General Hospital with life-threatening head trauma.

The driver of the van was identified as a 27-year-old man. 

This comes about a week after a 21-year-old man was critically injured in an incident involving a semi-truck at Fremont and Howard streets.
