Central Subway Work At 4th & King To Cause 8 Days Of Major Detours, DelaysPhoto: Paul Sullivan/Flickr

This weekend, the SFMTA is set to begin laying tracks for the Central Subway at the intersection of Fourth and King, with major delays and construction noise expected during the eight-day installation period.

Work—including round-the-clock jackhammering and saw-cutting—will begin this Friday, Nov. 6th and run through Saturday, Nov. 14th, impacting a number of Muni lines, streets and crosswalks in the area. The SFMTA is warning drivers to avoid Mission Bay altogether, and transit riders to prepare for delays across the entire Muni system.

For a full rundown of the impacted routes, visit the SFMTA's 4th & King project website.
