At about 6:45pm Thursday evening, a cyclist was transported to the hospital, following a collision with a vehicle at O'Farrell and Hyde streets.

According to police, the cyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed downhill and ran a red light before colliding with the vehicle.

The cyclist suffered a minor head injury and was transferred to a local hospital.
