After introducing outdoor seating and then withdrawing it to go back to the drawing board, Philz Coffee at 549 Castro St. debuted its newly-downsized sidewalk seating area over the weekend. The adjusted space, which now complies with the neighborhood's requirements, provides about two-thirds the original seating, with one green bench and one table with two chairs.

As for the barriers, they have been cut back by roughly three feet, and should have some plants growing out of them soon.
