This morning, a familiar sight appeared on Haight Street, just east of Belvedere. Another sinkhole seems to be forming in the middle of Haight, right in front of Zam Zam.

The two previous Haight sinkholes, located between Masonic and Central and at Ashbury, were due to the troubled infrastructure project, which has been on hold since October. It's unclear if this one is related; as Ashley Schoenknecht reminds us, the neighborhood is built on a giant sand dune.
