From time to time, we review recent police reports from Park and Taraval Stations to round up the latest crimes around the Inner Sunset. This week, we note two hot prowl cases, a bank robbery, and two violent assaults that may have residents studying their surroundings more closely.

On Thursday night at 10:28pm, officers from Taraval Station responded to a report of a robbery with force on the 2500 block of 15th Avenue. In the incident, a woman walking on 15th encountered a man who demanded her cell phone and purse before striking her on the forehead "with a metal object." The victim was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries; police are still looking for the suspect.

On Wednesday at 12:40pm, a suspect entered a bank on the 2300 block of Irving Street and declared "this is a bank robbery," before obtaining cash from a teller and fleeing on foot. Police have not issued a full suspect description and did not disclose how much money was stolen.

On Tuesday at 5:40pm, two men got out of an older model dark sedan near Ulloa Street & 14th Avenue and demanded a woman's belongings; when the victim "fought to retain her property," the suspects pushed her to the ground before running back to their vehicle and fleeing northbound on 14th Avenue.

On Monday, Jan. 18th, a man taking out the trash at his home on the 600 block of Santiago discovered that the side doors to his house were open. After conferring with someone else who lives at the property, they contacted police to report a stolen bicycle.

Last week, on Friday, Jan. 15th, Park Station officers investigated a call on the 100 block of Hillway near Kezar Stadium, where an online date apparently turned into a robbery with force. According to the victim, she met a male suspect for a massage after connecting via a dating site. After meeting face to face, the suspect grabbed the victim's cash, and got into a vehicle "without performing the massage." When the victim tried to retrieve her cash, the suspect rolled the window up on her arm. According to police, the victim received "small scratches" during the scuffle and was not transported to the hospital.

In Clarendon Heights on Jan. 14th, four residents of a home on the 2100 block of 9th Ave. reported the loss of personal documents, computers, smartphones and other items during the week's second reported hot prowl burglary. Police investigators believe the crime occurred between 3:30am and 7:30am; although all four individuals slept through the burglary, a victim "noticed the rear patio door was damaged and appeared as if it was kicked in."

The next monthly community meeting for Park Station is on Tuesday, Feb. 9th at 6pm, 1899 Waller St. Taraval Station's next meeting will be held at the station (2345 24th Ave.) on Feb. 17th at 7pm.
