British actor Alan Rickman died of cancer yesterday at the age of 69. The late actor was known for his roles as Colonel Brandon in Sense & Sensibility, Hans Gruber in Die Hard, and in particular, Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films.

In honor of the late actor, Meghan Monahan, children's librarian at the Ortega Branch of the San Francisco Public Library, created this exhibit in the children's section today. “Even though Snape was a bad guy, at the end he was the hero, and we wanted to memorialize that,” she said.
