After 10 short months in business, Rusu Style, the Burning Man-esque lingerie shop on Haight near Shrader, has closed its doors.

The business closed over the holiday, cleaning out the space and posting a For Rent sign on some plywood in the window. The space at 1782 Haight, as you might remember, was once the Sock Shop, until that moved down the street. After that, it was home to soda emporium the Fizzary, until that closed last year, becoming Rusu Style in March.

The Cole-to-Shrader block has an unusual amount of vacancies at the moment. The former Buyer's Best Friend space at 1740 Haight is now happily occupied by the Sock Shop's shoe store expansion, but the Pink Lily space, just a few doors down at 1748 Haight, is still on the market. Not yet open, but in the works, are Ginza at 1793 Haight and DragonEats at 671 Haight. (Update: Ginza is open! Look for more on that soon.)

As for other retail shuffles on the street, the old Hyperoptics space at 1463 Haight is still vacant, with no further word about the prospects of Beyond Vape settling in.

We're also still waiting for Ritual Coffee Roasters at Haight & Central, which missed its projected October opening by a mile, but looks close to finally opening its doors.

The retail space at the corner of Cole and Haight, where the Homeless Youth Alliance used to be, is now visible from the street. The plywood came down over the holidays, revealing a clean white frontage. According to a rental listing, it's going for $11,000 per month for 1,771 newly-renovated, seismically sound square feet, including a new ADA bathroom.

We're sure you can expect more changes in the coming new year, and, as always, we'll let you know what we hear.
