Last week, as part of its Livable Streets program, the SFMTA made some improvements for pedestrians and cyclists on Sloat Boulevard. Work crews created a two-foot-wide painted bike-lane buffer on Sloat between the Great Highway and Skyline, and added higher-visibility crosswalks at 45th and Sloat.
“The improved bikeway on Sloat creates a safer, more comfortable, and organized corridor by increasing separation between people biking and vehicle traffic," SFMTA public information officer Ben Jose told us. "Improvements like this are part of SFMTA’s ongoing work to build a better, safer, and more connected bike network.”
