Video: Brazen Car Theft At 19th & Lincoln Gas StationImage via SFPD

Police announced today that they're seeking the public's help in locating a suspect caught on tape stealing a vehicle from the 19th & Lincoln Shell Station.

Per SFPD:

On January 5, 2016 at approximately 1:45am, the victim entered a gas station store on the 1200 block of 19th Avenue, leaving his car unattended at the pumps with the key in the ignition and engine running. When the victim exited the store, he saw that his car, a 2004 Honda Accord had been stolen.


Surveillance video caught the suspect, later identified as John McFarland, male, 25 years old of Stockton in the act of stealing the car.  The car was later recovered by the San Leandro Police Department on 01/06/16 in the City of San Leandro.
